Who can play Rugby?Height: Somewhere between 5'2" and 6'10" Weight: 130 pounds to 320 plus Speed: Very slow to very fast Athletic Background: Horseshoes to pro football Due to the diversity of rugby's positions and
skill requirements, almost anyone can play rugby at some
level. Skills that you may already possess from other sports
will help you. Among those skills are:
A rugby player is unwilling to be a "former
athlete" at an early age. The inability to
play college or professional sports is not enough reason for
a rugby player to accept old age or immobility. A rugby
player enjoys training, being fit, and competing with and
against others who accept only the best from themselves.
Rugby players know the average man doesn't reach physical
maturity and ability until around the age of 28. He
enjoys realizing his potential rather than wondering about
it. |
